Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Axion web chat, API, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Axion Labs. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Service description

The Axion web chat and API provide access to AI models through a hosted backend that routes requests to third-party providers (including OpenRouter). Free API keys are available with rate limits. The Service is provided on an "as is" basis.

Accounts

• You may use the Service without an account for limited access
• Creating an account may be required for extended usage
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials
• You must not share your free API key beyond its intended use

Free tier

• 1,000 requests per month, with a 40-request-per-2-hour rate limit
• Rate limits and availability may change at any time
• The free tier is intended for individual, non-commercial use
• We reserve the right to revoke free access for abusive usage patterns

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or access controls
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models
• Use the Service to generate harmful, abusive, or misleading content
• Automate requests in a way that degrades service for other users
• Resell or repackage the free tier as a paid service

Third-party providers

The Service routes requests through third-party providers, including OpenRouter. Your interactions are subject to:

• OpenRouter's Terms of Service — available at openrouter.ai/terms
• OpenRouter's Privacy Policy — available at openrouter.ai/privacy

Content you submit may be processed by these providers in accordance with their policies.

Data handling

• Conversation data is transmitted to third-party providers to generate responses
• We store minimal data (rate-limit counters, chat history for your session) to operate the Service
• We do not use your conversations for training unless you explicitly opt in with /contribute
• If you use /contribute, your conversation history may be used to improve future models
• API keys are stored securely and used only to authenticate with providers

Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Axion Labs disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

Axion Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason.

Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
